FAQs

What is a cake ball?
If you have never had a cake ball you are in for a treat.  A cake ball is a bite sized ball of crumbled cake (about the size of a golf ball), mixed with frosting to form a ball that is then dipped in a chocolate coating.

What is a cake pop?
A cake pop is the same as above, except for that a lollipop stick is placed into the cake ball giving it a fun look.  Kids (and adults) love these!  A stick always makes food more fun to eat!  All cake pops are individually wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon.

Cake pops are where I like to get creative, there is so much more you can do with a cake pop.

Can I place an order with more than one cake and/or more than one type of coating?
Yes, just be aware that if you are placing a smaller order (i.e. one dozen) it may be subject to a slight surcharge of a few dollars, which is determined at the time of ordering.

How long will cake balls and cake pops keep?
Cake balls will keep for about 5-7 days in an airtight container at room temperature, they will keep up to 2 weeks if placed in an airtight container in the refrigerator and for about 4 weeks if placed in an airtight container and frozen.  Just be aware that sometimes when freezing chocolate in will turn white in some areas, don't worry, it will still taste just as yummy.

Do you do weddings and large events?
Of course!!  I love weddings and large events.  Cake balls make a unique alternative to a wedding cake or a great addition to a wedding cake.  Both cake ball pops and cake ball truffles make for a yummy favor too.  They also make for a fun dessert at larger events, who doesn't love a bite sized piece of heaven?

You can figure 2-3 cake balls per person for weddings and large events if you are serving these instead of a wedding cake or if it is them main dessert for a large event.

How much notice do you need?
I like to have about a weeks notice for "regular" orders and by "regular" I mean a typical order of 2-8 dozen cake balls or pops.  But if you need them quickly, just email me, we can work something out.  Just remember, the making of them is a 2 day process for me.  So at the minimum I need 2 full days notice.

If you are planning a wedding or large event I'd like at least 1 month notice, but sometimes more because I may have to place an order for supplies.  It is always best to send me an email to check my availability if you are in a pinch and need to give me less notice.

Do you deliver?
Yes, I do, but unfortunately with the cost of gas, I have to charge a delivery fee of $1 per mile, up to 15 miles.  If you are more than 15 miles away, please contact me to see if delivery is available, it is based on availability and you will be charged accordingly.  Minimum fee is $1.  If I am required to set up a display the fee is based on design and size of the order.

Can I pick my order up?
Yes, you can pick your order up too.

If I want to have some shipped, can I do that?
You sure can, if you live out of town and would like to try some of my cake balls or cake pops, I can ship them.  Just be aware that the shipping might cost as much as your order, I prefer to ship them either overnight or 2-day air so they arrive as fresh as possible.  I will only ship in the fall or winter.

Who makes the cake balls and cake pops?
Me, myself and I.  They are hand crafted with lots of love and lots of pride.
