Wecome Baby and Welcome Back!

I needed a break from cake pops, it was much needed and well deserved.

I've been really enjoying my summer without having to worry about orders and baking and chocolate not melting properly because of heat and humidity.

Not to mention I had a lot going on with my son and really wasn't able to take time away from him.

But

I'm baaaaack!!!

I welcomed myself back to cake pops and welcomed a new baby girl into the world by making this arrangement.

Happy 1st Birthday Caleb!!! GO BUCKS!!!

Caleb's mommy contacted me back when I first started Let's Have a Ball, she was planning a football/Ohio State University themed 1st Birthday Party for her little man.

My husband is a huge Ohio State fan and I guess you could say I am, by default, so I was pretty excited for this order.

I knew I'd use sanding sugar, my favorite, I use it all the time.

I just love the sparkly effect it gives basic cake pops.

And of course the FOOTBALL!!!!

To Infinity And Beyond: A Toy Story Themed 2nd Birthday

When I started making cake pops I had seen a photo of Hammie and Mr. Potato Head cake pops.

I really had no reason to make them, even though I always wanted to.

Then my son, Davis, discovered Toy Story around Christmas time.

I knew right then he was having a Toy Story themed 2nd Birthday party, complete with none other than the Ham and the Potato.

The birthday cake and cupcakes were made by my amazing friend Angi from How Sweet It Is.  She even made 3 very special egg free cupcakes for Davis since he is allergic to them.

And now onto picture overload.

Happy 2nd Birthday Davis!!

Daddy and Mommy love you to Infinity and Beyond!!!

A Few Tidbits of Information and Updates

1.  Wedding season is quickly approaching, if you are thinking about having cake truffles or cake pops at your wedding please contact me as soon as possible to hold your date as wedding orders tend to be much larger than regular orders, therefore requiring more time on my part and I like to make sure that the entire week before your wedding is dedicated to your special day.

2.  Some cake pop designs to look forward to in March:  Hammie and Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story, Flowers, Easter Eggs, Easter Bunnies, Chicks, Tigers, and Puppies.  If there is a special design you haven't seen yet, don't hesitate to ask if I can do it.

3. I am planning on introducing two new flavors sometime in March:

Peanut Butter Cup - a delicious peanut butter cake blended with a peanut butter frosting

Coffee Coffee - a coffee infused mocha flavored chocolate cake blended with your choice of buttercream or chocolate frosting

If there is a flavor you'd like to see do not hesitate to ask me.  My list of flavors to put on my menu is several long and since I'm am the only employee of this company I get to test things out when I get time.  If you come up a flavor and it is a hit, you get to name it!

4. I am working on adding some new items to the menu, chocolate covered Oreo cookies, chocolate covered pretzeal rods and chocolate covered rice kristpie treats.  Prices will be up soon.  Look for a new tab titled "Other Goodies".

University of Toledo Health & Science Campus Artist Showcase

Let's Have a Ball was out and about Friday at the Artist Reception at the University of Toledo Health & Science Campus in the Mulford Library.  You can read about the event here.  Not only did Let's Have a Ball provide delicious treats, my sister who is the nursing librarian at the Mulford Library had a painting on display and my son, Davis had his painting on display as well.  My sister had a gorgeous oil painting done of Davis last year as a gift to all of us for his 1st birthday.  The artist who painted it wanted to display it in the art show so of course we couldn't say no, I loved seeing the painting of our son in the show.  Unfortunately he slept the entire time so I wasn't able to get a photo of him next to his own painting.  I see another trip to the library in our future while the display is still up.

I made 4 different flavors, 3 of which were brand new, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Birthday Cake and Stella Yella.

Now, onto the treats.

ME!
Stella Yella Cake Pops and Carrot Cake Pops

 Double Yummy!!!
